Sunday School

Explore deeper meaning and contemplate your walk with God in a supportive and nurturing peer group. Below is a brief synopsis of each Sunday School Group offered at Centenary. All groups meet at 9:45am on Sundays unless otherwise noted.

Circle of Friends Class

Circle of Friends is a multi-generational group of adults seeking to know and grow God. Comprised of adults 35 to 70, our instructor encourages thoughtful debate and discussion throughout the lesson. Occasionally Circle of Friends meets outside of church, such as Bible study in a member’s home or get togethers based on holidays. Centenary UMC hosts an annual “Sunday School in the Park,” where we meet in an area park and have our Sunday School class followed by lunch.

The Crusaders Class

Develop and uncover a deeper understanding and meaning of the Word through this leader-led discussion group. The Crusaders rotate between up to six different leaders giving you several different view points on faith. Drawing from Christian curriculums such as Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies, Crusaders is an opportunity to grow in your faith through study and contemplation of God’s Word.

Crusaders support several areas in and outside of our church. We provide meals during the holidays for needy families, support financially the 5K run for food, gather in the summer for a class supper and support other activities in the church.

Paul Allen  Graham Fellowship Class

The Paul Allen Graham Fellowship Class is a relaxed and conversational class referencing the Methodist Sunday School literature and inviting contemplative discussion amongst its members. Taught on a rotating schedule, lessons will both expand your understanding of faith and inspire you as you go in your Christ journey. This dynamic group is seeking opportunities to serve in the community post-COVID.

Pathfinders Class

Pathfinders provides young adults with a strong scriptural foundation and encourages and equips with passages and discussion on every day life. Primarily made up of adults 18-30, this dynamic group is active off campus with meals, mission projects, community involvement, and more.
